Amanda Bossard, fresh out from Anchorage High School in 1992 began her studies in marine biology. Bossard started her commercial seafood career in 1999 when she started working aboard the F/V Sunset. This 65' schooner converted to an ice-fish tender was owned by Murat Aritan. He has been a commercial fisherman since 1993. Bossard, who is engaged to Aritan she has joined forces in order to claim their respective industries. They support conservative, profitable management of renewable seafood resources. Otolith was established by Philadelphia through Bella Bossard and is currently mother to two kids with ages of 3 and 1 Bossard. The husband of the business has a lengthy history in the fish industry and often they are apart for five months or longer. It is during this time that they're focused on their financial and environment targets. Bossard along with her two children Andre 10, and Isabella 12 return every year to Southeast Alaska as deckhands to harvest wild salmon during summer. With a small 42 troller, the Bossards capture salmon with hooks. They work in conjunction with Aritan in a local processing facility for a period of two weeks.
